Put RadReason on your phone.
RadReason runs in any browser, but adding it to the home screen gives it its own icon and opens it without the address bar. On iPhone it is also what makes notifications work at all.
iPhone and iPad, in Safari
The steps have to be done in Safari. Chrome and Firefox on iOS cannot add an app to the home screen, because Apple does not give them the API.
- Open radreason.com in Safari.
- Tap Share in the toolbar, at the bottom of the screen on iPhone and at the top on iPad.
- Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add, then open RadReason from the new icon rather than from Safari.
Android, in Chrome
- Open radreason.com in Chrome.
- Chrome usually offers an Install app banner on its own. If it does not, open the three-dot menu and tap Install app or Add to Home screen, depending on your Chrome version.
- Confirm, then open RadReason from the new icon.
Edge, Samsung Internet, and Brave on Android all work the same way, with the option under their own menus.
Daily pearl notifications
Once RadReason is installed, open it from the home screen icon and go to Settings. There is a switch for daily pearl review. It sends one pearl a day drawn from a case you have already worked through, and it sends nothing else. No case content, no marketing, and you can turn it off from the same switch.
On iPhone the switch only works from the installed app, which is why the home screen step comes first. On Android, notifications work in Chrome without installing, but installing keeps them reliable when the browser is closed.
If something looks out of date
The installed app caches itself so it opens instantly and survives a weak signal. After a release that means you can briefly see the old version. Closing the app fully and reopening it picks up the new one. If it persists, clearing the site data for radreason.com in your browser settings will force a fresh copy.
